Here are some random thoughts and feelings about this experience:
The ocean of our ancestors is reproduced in the watery womb of our mother and is chemically related to it. Ocean and Mother. In the dark liquid of ocean the relentless masses of water pushed past the first sonar ear. As the ear of the fetus turns in its amniotic fluid, it too is tuned to the lap and gurgle of water. Now we are grown lidless ears, our entire bodies are. With these drones you seem to climb herds of erupting Krakatoa volcanoes. We listen to the darkness. Then the glimpses of light. Roars and punctuation sounds mark the way for the blind delirium, at first slave of the solitude, then gradually like a mantle that covers new acoustic cyclicalities.

Photographer Roland Miller have been photographing space exploration-related programs, facilities, and people for over 25 years.

This is an photographic exploration of the American space launch and research facilities that played a crucial role in the early period of space exploration. The goals of this project are to preserve and portray these abandoned, deactivated, and repurposed sites through photography that surpasses the official government approach to documentation and to lend historical and artistic insight to the subject.

Mai Mai Mai is a solo project by Toni C., the materialization of a travel in time and space, a mix of drone and ambient, steamy and phat techno beats, field recordings and soundscapes on the border between East and West.

After the debut Theta LP (Boring Machines, 2013), Delta is his second release and second part of his journey across the Mediterranean Sea, through hidden memories, old unconscious and sounds of past experiences, put together and mixed today using tapes, synths and sequencers. The epoch which displays its time to itself as essentially the sudden return of multiple festivities is also an epoch without festivals. What was, in cyclical time, the moment of a community’s participation in the luxurious expenditure of life is impossible for the society without community or luxury. When its vulgarized pseudo-festivals, parodies of the dialogue and the gift, incite a surplus of economic expenditure, they lead only to deception always compensated by the promise of a new deception. In the spectacle, the lower the use value of modern survival-time, the more highly it is exalted. The reality of time has been replaced by the advertisement of time. (G.D.)
