We’ve become accustomed to Burial surprise dropping some greatness by now, but this EP was truly unexpected, containing some of his most utterly transcendent material. Everything here is transmitted through a brilliant spectral haze, with brittle ethereal vocal samples turning angelic in the cinematic slowburn of each track.

A far of rhythm churns the currents of ‘Comafields’, turning angelic over a gentle shuffling stomp and the subtly sawing bassline, while ‘Imaginary Festival’ sputters a ghostly geyser, its heavy lidded two step beat stumbling into the catharsis of a raving trance synth screaming in the background amidst a tranquil hum.
