JKD Collective, a Tokyo based creative studio has undertaken branding and visual design for Japan’s largest jazz festival, Tokyo Jazz, teaming up with Oryel, a design studio run by Art Director Koichi Inoue.
The key visual is a collage of typographies such as kanji, katakana and the alphabet mixed in with a variety of jazz-related motifs and gives a sense of the sophistication of present day Tokyo.
The festival took place on September 6th, 7th and 8th in 2014 at the Tokyo International Forum and at the Cotton Club.
