It was apparent that materialism was in complete control of the economic structure, the final objective of which was for the individual to become part of a system providing an economic security at the expense of the human soul, mind, and body.

2 heartsAn undeniable trend in gaming graphics during the early 90s was the usage of digitized graphics, made possible thanks to various advancements in hardware and software. Although a lot of game developers used it for bits and pieces like title screens, Williams and Atari Games in particular embraced this new tech early on. Resulting in hits like T2, Mortal Kombat, Pit Fighter and Primal Rage.

2 heartsCarl Jung warns us against the dangers of the shadow (the unknown dark side of our personality). We must acknowledge our shadow and enter into long and difficult negotiations with it through shadow work. Only then can we become conscious of the collective shadow (the unknown dark side of mankind) and not fall prey to it.
Exploring our shadow allows us to rescue the good qualities that lie dormant within us, which improves our lives and the lives of those around us. We can then face the collective shadow and take responsibility to address the denial of important issues and a lack of individual and collective initiative.
Telling the truth is the most desirable way to deal with a difficult past, rather than dismissing the atrocities and having the shadow grow blacker until it can no grow no more, and thus history repeats itself.

2 heartsAntidawn reduces Burial’s music to just the vapours.
The record explores an interzone between dislocated, patchwork songwriting and eerie, open-world, game space ambience.
In the resulting no man’s land, lyrics take precedence over song, lonely phrases colour the haze, a stark and fragmented structure makes time slow down.
Antidawn seems to tell a story of a wintertime city, and something beckoning you to follow it into the night. The result is both comforting and disturbing, producing a quiet and uncanny glow against the cold. Sometimes, as it enters ‘a bad place’, it takes your breath away. And time just stops.
Released January 6, 2022.

John Wildgoose, London, United Kingdom.
The trouble with Eichmann was precisely that so many were like him, and that the many were neither perverted nor sadistic, that they were, and still are, terribly and terrifyingly normal. From the viewpoint of our legal institutions and of our moral standards of judgment, this normality was much more terrifying than all the atrocities put together.
